Transforming Nordic Group of Banks with Data-driven Solutions

Initial State: One outdated warehouse using obsolete technology, underutilized and not optimized for boosting the bank's sales performance.

Goals: The transformation of two warehouses, transitioning from the old to the new by the end of 2023.

What We Do: ETL Data Processing: We handle the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, streamlining data from various sources to improve efficiency and accessibility. Optimizing Report Generation: Our team optimizes the time it takes to generate reports, ensuring quick access to vital insights. Automation of ETL Pipelines: We have automated the creation of ETL pipelines, drastically reducing delivery times from approximately four weeks (2 sprints) to around one week. This was achieved by developing specialized libraries for Spark technology. Data Sources: We work with diverse data sources, including banking transaction data, user account activity, login locations, viewed products, and more. Machine Learning Application: We use this data to create machine learning models that profile products and automatically present them to the bank's customers based on their account usage and transactions.

Achievements So Far: Automated Product Recommendations: Our solutions have automated the process of recommending products to the bank's customers, enhancing their experience. Reduced Operational Costs: By minimizing the need for staff to make outbound calls and propose bank products, we have significantly reduced operational costs. Challenges and Outlook: Despite the accomplishments, the journey is far from over. The transition from the old to the new warehouse is still in progress. Our focus remains on further enhancing data processing efficiency, embracing cutting-edge technologies, and delivering value to Nordic Group of Banks by tailoring product offerings to individual customer needs through AI-driven insights.
